Salvaged mosaic panel.
This panel was extracted from the basilica in the Palace of arts, Wembley.
The building featured as part of the British Empire Exhibition and housed arts and crafts of the period, in particular, religious works.
The mosaic panel can be seen here in situ on the floor of the Basilica, prior to extraction.
The panel was carefully extracted, restored and mounted for display.
Here we see the accompanying text.
The finished piece can be seen on display at the Brent Museum, Willesden Green Library Centre, 95 High Road, Willesden, London, NW10 2SF.
