Granite riser - Step installation
Published 5th June 2009
When installing tiles into a porch area the issue arises of how to finish the tiles on the edge of a step.
It is common to use a round edged tile of which we can supply, but a smarter and more traditional approach is to use granite or marble or York Stone.
In small areas where there is not enough room for York stone then a riser/step edge is used.
The illustration shows how such a riser works, the main feature being the rounded outer edge.
Here we see an example of the use of a granite riser as a step edge.
